Welcome!

Welcome!

Rocky Ridge Bungalows are a newer addition to the accommodation options on the island of Tanna, in southern Vanuatu. Situated near the little Presbyterian church at the edge of the beautiful village of Iwiak, there are two double thatch-roofed bungalows and a thatched-roofed family bungalow.

Our propery also offers beautiful tropical gardens, umbrageous trees to sit in gazing over the reef and the ocean, and a small restaurant and bar which doubles as a communal living area from which to gaze at the sea. Your hosts Tom and Margaret are very welcoming and willing to bring guests on tours

Rocky Ridge is only a few kilometres from the charming little airport, which, since the roads are rough, is not an insignificant consideration, particularly for those making a short visit to the island, such as those wanting to see the active volcano, Mount Yasur, during a vacation to Vanuatu. It also features direct access to some of Vanuatu’s best accessible snorkelling.

Food & Drink

Food & Drink

The little dining room with the great view produces breakfast, lunch and dinner, and prepared picnics to take away with a bit of notice.

Fruit, fruit juice, tea or coffee, and toast is complimentary for breakfast. In addition, a hot breakfast of eggs, French toast, or omelette may be purchased.

Lunch may be sandwiches, omelettes, and light meals, around the 800 vatu mark.

Main meals such as vegetable curry, soups, and fried (very) freshly caught fish will cost about 1000 to 1200 vatu. Vegetarians are catered for.

Tanna grows good coffee, and the dining room is licensed. Beers may be had for 500 vatu and soft drinks for 300 vatu.

We are also near White Grass Ocean Resort, with a full restaurant and bar.
